March 2006 Newsletter

Curriculum Update
This month we are going to be exploring life under the Sea. Our underwater theme is lots of fun and the kids will be learning about many different types of sea life. We will also start to incorporate SPRING into our activities towards the end of the month!
Our color is Green, our shape will be the shamrock, and our letters will be G and W.

Field Trip
I would like to take the kids to the NE Aquarium this month to go along with our theme. Austin’s dad had donated 5 free passes and I can get 4 more for $6 each. Kids 2 and under are free. This means for 10 kids and 6 adults it will cost us $24 to get in. I think if we all chip in a little it will pay for the parking and lunch. An exact date hasn’t been chosen yet, as the details get ironed out I will fill you in.

Parent Workshops
As most of you already know, I am affiliated with Community Partnerships for Children. Being a part of this group has many professional benefits for me and many for you guys as well. Please take the time to read the brochure I have up on my bulletin board, there may be services of interest to you.
I just recently learned, while at a workshop, that the partnership also offers workshops to parents on various topics related to child development and discipline. I would like you to fill out the attached survey so I can get a feel from you as to whether there would be interest in me hosting something for you guys. I think it would be a nice opportunity to get together as a group if we can find a time that would be convenient.
I’ve also attached 2 handouts I received that I wanted to share with you.

MARCH BIRTHDAYS
Elke will be 2 on the 22nd
Austin will be 3 on the 31st
