April 2006 Newsletter

Curriculum Update
During the first half of April we focused on eggs and bunnies. We did Egg experiments, egg art and lots of bunny songs and games. The rest of the month will be dedicated to learning about birds and welcoming spring. Our letters this month are E and U, the shape is oval and we will explore the idea of pastel colors.

General Housekeeping
It’s time to check the spare clothes. Your child’s box should have pants and a t-shirt. We also need more old clothes for our group clothing bin. This extra reserve of clothing has come in very handy. We need more light weight clothes for the warmer weather.

I have added a chart near the bulletin board to keep track of who needs more diapers. I will indicate when a certain child is getting low. I’m hoping this will make it easier for all of us to keep track of the diaper situation.

I am still waiting to get back some surveys regarding a workshop for parents. If you need a new one, let me know.

It’s time to replace toothbrushes if you haven’t done so recently.

Happy First Birthday Gracie!
Grace is turning 1 on April 20th
