October 2006 Newsletter

Curriculum Update
Fall is here! This month we will be focusing on all the wonderful attributes of the season i.e., apples, pumpkins, and leaves. We will also be learning about farms and fire safety. Our letters are A and F, color is orange, and our shape is triangle.

Fire Prevention Week

Fire Prevention week is October 8 – 14. I urge you to take this opportunity to develop a fire escape plan in your home if you don’t already have one and review it with your children. Children should practice fire escape plans monthly to make sure they know how to handle this situation should it ever arise. We practice fire drills monthly here at Tiny Treasures with the children, you can never be too careful when dealing with fire.

Field Trip
I am planning on taking the children to the pumpkin patch in Holbrook at some point this month. I will fill you in on the details as I figure them out.

Halloween
We will be having our annual Halloween party on Tues October 31st. Children can bring their costumes with them on that day. We will get dressed up and go next door to Angie’s for a practice run of trick or treating.
