Curriculum Update
This month our themes are Transportation, Bears and Hibernation, Manners, and Thanksgiving. Our color is Brown, the shape is Square, and our letters are T and J.
November is literacy month
We will be participating in a literacy program with Community Partnerships for children called Travel the Road to Reading. I will be giving you handouts about early literacy and suggested book lists given to me by the partnership. You will also be getting vehicle templates for you to record your childs name and book titles as you read different books together. After you read a book, you send the template back for us to hang up. I would like to travel across our entire room by the end of the month?.
I am also looking for volunteers to read to our group at different times during the month. Let me know if you have a favorite kids book youd like to share and read to us. My neighbor Angie has already volunteered and I am on a list to have a state legislator come read as well.
